We are supporting an established central London design studio, currently growing due to a steady influx of global projects and ongoing client demand.

Known for its collaborative culture, this studio delivers a range of project styles tailored to each client's vision. There is every chance you can work on modern and traditional projects offering variety, but also necessitating the agility required from their designers. Projects span private residential, commercial residential, and some 5 * hotels.
  
Key Responsibilities
 

• Create a unique concept including Interior Design & Interior Architecture in accordance with client brief, preparing drawings, mood boards, models and materials boards
• Develop concepts in 3D using SketchUp.
• Source and select bespoke materials & finishes
• Create and develop bespoke designs for joinery, chandeliers, carpet, etc through technical drawings and details in collaboration with artisans and craftsman
• Oversee and assist during the FF&E Creative & Procurement stages
• Prepare FF&E budget
• Design bespoke FF&E, prepare tender documentation and manage tender process
• Source FF&E off-the-shelf pieces
• Organise and manage FF&E logistics including quality control & delivery
• Select & procure dressing objects, soft furnishings, lamps, etc and dress the property prior to client handover
• Assist and manage production design information for tender purposes such as finishes schedule, ironmongery schedule, door schedule, etc.
• Ability to design within a given budget liaising with the PM Team
• Liaise with the technical team to ensure that the design intent is carried through throughout the Detail Design stage
• Liaise with contractors, consultants and suppliers as necessary during construction to monitor quality and resolve any design issues

Required skills: 

• Software skills must include: Autocad, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite
• Knowledge of UK building regulations, construction technology, UK planning policies and procurement methods
• This is a client facing role, the candidate should demonstrate good communication, excellent spoken and written English, and strong organisational skills
• A proactive approach to working, (can do attitude), with an ability to take the initiative and drive projects
