About the Role

Middleweight FF&E Designer - high end residential
£35,000 - £45,000
SW London

We are collaborating with a highly regarded interior design and interior architecture studio in SW London, currently comprising 20 people. They specialise in high-end residential projects and are seeking individuals with experience in similar high-end projects. Their projects vary in size, complexity, and location, all managed from their design studio. You will join a dedicated FF&E team, which currently consists of four members and is continuing to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Develop FF&E schemes, concepts, specifications, and costings based on initial client briefs and senior design direction.
  • Oversee and assist in managing the manufacturing of bespoke designs, coordinating with suppliers and the in-house procurement team to ensure timely delivery to the warehouse as per schedules.
  • Efficiently manage projects within the allocated time frame and budget, collaborating closely with Senior Designers or Associates.
  • Create and design furniture layouts and key elevations using Vectorworks, considering any M&E requirements. (Can consider a different software background)
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Interior Architecture by reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with the 3D Visual team to ensure creative concepts meet deadlines and adhere to the company standards.
  • Assist in and oversee site installations alongside the team to ensure successful completed projects.
  • Work with the Purchasing Coordinator to ensure quality control for new and existing suppliers.
  • Prepare design documentation confidently using Estimac and InDesign, consistently contributing to written standards and control procedures.
  • Motivate and mentor Junior Designers, Design Assistants, and Interns.
  • Collaborate with the Senior team on product development, including expanding the FF&E library of fabrics and finishes to keep the Louise Bradley brand at the forefront of design.
Key Skills:
  • Efficient time management and clear, conscientious communication skills.
  • Professional experience dealing with clients, contractors, and other suppliers.
  • Ability to advise clients and other stakeholders on all specification and cost details of a design project.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Vectorworks (or can pick up quickly), Photoshop, InDesign, and Estimac.
  • Self-motivated, yet a good team player who can work quickly and efficiently in an organised manner.

This company operates a 9 day fortnight option where members of the team are able to make up their hours across 9 days and have every other Friday off. They can help with flexi time for those with child care responsibilities for school/nursery pick up and drops offs.
If you are seeking a new role and have a notice period of 1-2 months, that will be considered.
