About the Role

Senior Architectural Assistant or Architect - WFH and London
£40,000 - £48,000

We have been approached by a previous contact, a specialist in the high-end private residential sector, who established his studio in mid-2024. Since launching, he has seen a steady influx of projects. Currently, the studio has three projects on-site, with two new projects underway and additional work projected to land shortly.

As a result, they are looking to expand the team with plans for further growth later this year to support the increasing workload. This presents an exciting opportunity to join a talented and ambitious Architect with extensive experience in the field.

In this role, you will have a high degree of autonomy on projects while also benefiting from support when needed. The current team consists of a Lead Architect and an Architectural Technologist, so it’s important that you are hands-on, proactive, and ready to get involved in all aspects of the projects.

Project & Role Details

The two upcoming projects involve high-end private residential properties, including Grade II listed buildings. Because of this, experience working with listed buildings is essential. You will be involved in projects at both pre- and post-planning stages, working on existing building renovations, refurbishments, and extensions that require strong interior architecture skills.

Requirements:

  • A creative and technically strong all-rounder.
  • Proven job-running experience
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Previous experience working on listed buildings.
  • Software proficiency: AutoCAD and Adobe Suite.

Company Culture & Work Flexibility

This new start-up, values work-life balance. The role is primarily remote, with four days a week working from home. One day per week is required for team meetings, which take place in Central London or on-site at a project. Therefore, it’s important that you live within a commutable distance to Central London.

Additionally, flexibility will be required for client meetings, which may occasionally reduce the remote working days.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an emerging studio with an ambitious vision, hands-on project involvement, and a flexible working environment.
Moving forward, the company plans to expand and establish an office. While they will continue to prioritise a strong hybrid working model, they recognise the value of in-person collaboration in fostering a dynamic office culture
