About the Role

Senior FF&E Designer - high end residential
£48,000 - £55,000
SW London

We are collaborating with a highly regarded interior design and interior architecture studio in SW London, currently comprising 20 people. They specialise in high-end residential projects and are seeking individuals with experience in similar high-end projects. Their projects vary in size, complexity, and location, all managed from their design studio. You will join a dedicated FF&E team, which currently consists of four members and is continuing to grow.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all stages of projects, from gathering initial client briefs to preparing FF&E schemes and presenting concepts, specifications, and costs to clients.
  • Manage the design and manufacturing of bespoke items, coordinating with suppliers and the in-house Procurement team to ensure timely receipt into the warehouse as per schedules.
  • Utilise knowledge of Interior Architecture to read and understand technical drawings, and use Vectorworks for creating floorplans, elevations, and furniture drawings. (They can consider those from a different software background)
  • Mentor junior members of the FF&E team throughout the design process, providing creative expertise and guidance to all levels of FF&E designers.
  • Collaborate with the 3D Visual team to ensure creative concepts meet deadlines and uphold the company's standards.
  • Lead and oversee FF&E team meetings, including team planning and project delegation.
  • Work closely with the Senior Team and Studio Coordinator to implement and monitor project deadlines and budgets.
  • Organise and assist in managing site installations.
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing and Warehouse team to ensure quality control for new and existing suppliers.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of the Estimac Software and set up training programs for new starters in collaboration with the Senior Team and Design Studio Manager.
  • Distribute, monitor, and supervise the preparation of design documentation by all FF&E designers, contributing to written standards and control procedures.
  • Motivate and mentor Junior Designers, aiding their development and understanding of the company's philosophy and design style.
  • Work with designers on product development, including expanding the FF&E library of fabrics and finishes.
  • Confidently present the brand to potential new clients.

This company operates a 9 day fortnight option where members of the team are able to make up their hours across 9 days and have every other Friday off. They can help with flexi time for those with child care responsibilities for school/nursery pick up and drops offs.

If you are seeking a new role and have a notice period of 1-2 months, that will be considered.
