About the Role
Senior Interior designer/Team leader - Hospitality
£55,000 - £75,000
We are working with a super creative, award-winning design studio working across hospitality and residential design projects as they look to hire for a leadership role.
As Lead Designer, you will oversee projects from concept to completion, working closely with the Owner and leading senior and mid-level designers.
You will guide and inspire the team, problem-solve, and mentor designers to meet deadlines. Responsibilities include pitching, fee proposals, and contracts, as well as setting up and scheduling projects once won. You will oversee design strategy, drawing issue lists, and deliverables, ensuring work aligns with the client brief, budget, and vision. Hands-on tasks include concept design, CAD work, hand-sketching, CGI art direction, sourcing, procurement, and developing detailed design packs for clients and contractors. You will set deadlines, delegate tasks, review and refine design work, and lead both site and studio meetings with clients, suppliers, and contractors while mentoring others to do the same.
Additionally, you will manage project teams, budgets, scope tracking, and invoicing, working with the Studio Manager to monitor profitability and apply insights to fee proposals and negotiations. A key part of your role will also involve training and developing team members in creativity, project leadership, and client relations.
