Overview 
 
We are currently seeking a highly talented and experienced Hospitality Designer to join a leading boutique design studio in London. Known for its refined high-end hospitality and residential projects, the studio is looking for someone with a strong design sensibility and a proven track record of delivering exceptional hospitality projects across all stages of the design process.
This role is ideal for a passionate and driven individual with extensive experience in luxury hospitality design, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage projects from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will demonstrate a keen eye for detail, a creative yet pragmatic mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ability to multitask and maintain high standards in a fast-paced studio environment is essential.
 
  • Extensive experience in high-end hospitality, with a proven track record of leading large-scale hotel projects from concept through to completion.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proficient in Photoshop, AutoCAD, InDesign, Excel, and SketchUp for the creation of drawings, mood boards, and presentation materials.
  • Strong hand sketching skills are beneficial 
  • Ability to clearly communicate design concepts (Hand-drawn or sketches)
  • Skilled in design project management, with the capability to mentor and guide teams effectively.
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines within a fast-paced studio environment.
  • A creative thinker and strategic problem-solver who actively contributes to project success.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • High level of initiative, enthusiasm, and team spirit.
  • Open to learning and adapting to new challenges as they arise.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and willing to travel for project requirements.
Key responsibilities  

Creative:
  • Collaborate closely with the founder and management team to develop and present design concepts that align with client expectations and uphold studio standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive design research, including the creation of mood boards and detailed site-specific analysis.
  • Lead the material selection process, ensuring timely access to samples and exploring innovative and sustainable material options.
  • Source and establish relationships with new suppliers and manufacturers, keeping the team updated on emerging trends and industry innovations.
  • Possess strong knowledge of furniture, lighting, ironmongery, and sanitary-ware manufacturers, ensuring all specifications meet the design intent and project requirements.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of FF&E costs and effectively manage project budgets in line with design goals.
Project Management:
  • Ensure all design documentation is accurate, consistent, and meets the highest quality standards.
  • Support the design team in maintaining thorough and professional project management documentation, including meeting minutes, email correspondence, and progress reports.
  • Work alongside the management team to oversee project timelines and key deliverables, ensuring smooth execution from concept through to completion.
  • Provide mentorship, support, and guidance to junior team members, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Liaise daily with design and procurement teams to align on goals and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Assist the management team in communications with clients, contractors, and suppliers throughout the design development process.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to navigate challenges, such as budget changes, material sourcing issues, and unforeseen site conditions, while maintaining project momentum and quality.
